The patrol hours update (to am patrol13 April 08) appears below.

There are just five patrol days left for the current season: 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 April. Any hours patrolled over those five days will be added to the report below and the total will be the final hours shown in the Annual Report.

REPORT TO CLUB CAPTAIN

Sunday 30 December 2007

Dear Warren

Just wanted to let you know about this afternoon's patrol.

We were extremely busy but I think we held our own. We were a little low on numbers but so many members came to assist for the afternoon it was inspiring. I have never seen so many blue bottle stings; not to mention preventatives and other stuff. As always I went  to the Lifeguards for advice and guidance and my thanks go to Mark, Lee and Tom.

Alison Christie spent nearly the whole day in the tent absolutely flat out  while Jackie Bryant ran the beach.  My son Nat ,spent yonks in the water and my poor liitle daughter Lara who is only an SRC, worked her butt off. Sam Coady spent hours in the IRB with Sam Tier who came on as our IRB driver and they did a fantastic job.

To all the others, and I don't want to forget anyone, thankyou, thankyou, thankyou; Mick Keelan,  Allan Tier, Jack Tier, Jacquie Mooy, Sara Keelan, Ant Bradstreet, Brendan Condie, Georgia,  Henry ,Fran and Col Brenchley  and others and good advice from Surfcom through our very own Zane Ludlow. I may have missed a few names but they are in the patrol book and my thanks go to them all. What a fantastic club we all belong to!

Also the guys and girls from Surf Patrol were filming. They were wonderful to work with  and at no stage were ever in the way so a big thankyou to them.

Kind regards

Shane Gilroy
